The model in this image was created just goofing around. It was rendered with Podium and then post-processed in Xara Xtreme Pro featuring the Sketcher plug-in from LittleInkPot.com. The model itself had all faces (except the kid) painted with one of the sketchy materials provided with SketchUp. That material produced lots of moire patterns in the podium rendering. The idea to apply the Sketcher plugin originated in an attempt to counteract the moire pattern by scrambling it up with the sketch effect. By the way I use that plugin lots in my work and feel it is well worth the cost. The plugin produces a greyscale result so to get some colour back in I used transparency effects to visually combine the original podium image with the Sketcher processed version.

I think Alan Fraser's skateboarding kid (from FormFonts.com) helps give scale to the composition. Thanks Alan!

      Regards, Ross

Looks nice... To avoid moire you either have to have better texture or render it large.
