Just one of the things I've been doing today. Started lowpoly and finished the basic model in an hour. After that I added the interior and exhausts. At the end I gave everything a s&s with iteration 1. It's got around 8500 poly's now, going to texture it tomorrow.

Cool idea.
If I may offer an opinion... If you are using this as just a component in a busy scene then the poly count may be relevant, however if this is the presentation piece then do not let the poly count matter, use 3 iriterations as that will make the model smoother and cleaner, it will also enable you to texture better and render better.

Well, my PC isn't that fast and is often quite slow. The model is a modification for the game Gta: San Andreas which doesn't support very highpoly models (such as 100k). Also, when models ingame are very highpoly, some people with shitty computers won't be able to have the models ingame because their computers can't handle it.

Got some simple textures..
And ingame, I don't know if you can call it renders but they actually are..
