      Hello,
I recently had a hard drive failure on my laptop and after I had it serviced, I noticed my Sketchup Open GL could not use the "hardware acceleration".

I have a HP NW8440 with 4GB RAM and an ATI Mobility FireGL V5200 with 256 MB of built in RAM. Prior to the crash, I could select "use hardware acceleration" AND "use fast feedback" in my preferences and the # would be at least 30+. Now its down to 3 with medium precision and NO anti alias??

Now I can only use "fast feedback" (no hardware acceleration), but the # is 67 with high precision with shadows and no anti-alias. The rendering gets really bogged down when I am have a lot models in one space.

I've already installed the most recent driver for my video card. Any other ideas? Or is this just normal?

      Thanks for any insight!
      Jonathan

Have you tried the latest drivers? Re-install Sketup?

if HP doesn't provide you w/ more recent drivers check if the Omega Driver might be a solution for this issue:
