1.Followme open Hidden Geometry
2.Connect the diagonal line
3.Delete others
4.copy
5.Offset
6.mirror
7.Move together. Joint push pull
8.Finish

You lost me at the copy part. Is there a step missing? Is it copy than rotate

I'm really taken with the first chair, the one with the back slats coming separately off of the rear support. Is that an existing chair, or is that your own design? If not you, do you know who designed/made that?

I really don't know who designed that,I just made a reference of this image.
