Rogue's W.I.P's!

...a little more work done

I was having major problems with Hypershot not saving, or properly rendering my model so here is just a PRTSC capture of Hypershot.
Hypershot wasnāt saving my model, screenshots, renders or anything, so I lost the Hypershot model and got stuck with low quality renders
-
I have the same problem too. But luckily, there's a way. Try moving the file (C:\Users\YOURPC\AppData\Local\Temp\HyperShot) to desktop. But then you have the mouse sensitivity problem. So try to save the views before you move the file (try saving the .bip file, if it works) or deal with the extreme sensitivity.
I tried rendering it, it was fun. But one thing caught my eye: how did you get that colour? Did you download a colour/texture pack or some sort of colour editor that I'm unaware of? (Yeah, can't be bothered to look it up...)
Aaand I couldn't help myself, so:

Thanks for the comment Brad
Wow Shams, those renders look real nice!
I didnāt use any extras, just the standard stuff. The car body was a metallic paint and I use studio lighting with my model...
Thanks for the advice, Iāll try it out next set of renders. -

[attachment=0:32yjmwn5]<!-- ia0 -->Ford Falcon Hardtop render rear.jpg<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:32yjmwn5]I've found that Hypershot doesn't save when the model is open in SU so I make sure that SU is closed before I start using Hypershot and loading the model seperately.

This is what happens when I open a Hypershot model when it has actually saved one
Well, I finally get the render screen to appear but only after a lot of work. I also canāt vary my renders settings much from what are shown. What settings are shown are the default settings that seem to be applied when I open a saved Hypershot model
Plus there are some problems with textures and lighting etc..But it's rendering, lets just hope it works!
-
Thanks for the advice Lyall but I think Iāve fixed it.
It wasnāt saving my Hypershot models correctly but it was saving them. I saved the model, closed it and reopened.
The scene was appearing as 32x4 mpxls so I had to change that and some of the settings and clicked render and then it started. Itās very slowly rendering but itās doing its damn job! Iāll see what happens. -

Have you guys seen the new loft tool by Chris F.? It's great; it connects multiple curves/ edges smoothly, and could be really helpful with creating cars and vehicles!!
... NOTE: curves connected using it must have the same amount of edges. -
Looks like it could really help, Thanks for the tip, it helped me find some really great tools by Chris Fullmer

Forgive me for this completely-unrelated topic, but I really felt the need to share.
Shelby Daytona. Replica, but still...

Thatās ok Shams, any good Ford related stuff is absolutely welcome here.
Thatās one absolutely perfect Daytona! I wish I could get those HD photos in really high resolution!
Very nice! -
Sorry there isnāt much happening in the way of SketchUp but I have been very board of it and quite ill lately. I have managed to take just a couple more photos if anyone is interested. I do hope to get more once I start doing stuff again.

I've all but thrown in the towel - so many things going on in my life. Your work is really inspiring - I'm reminded of what my dad used to say "Let the experts do what experts do"
Sorry you've been ill - here's to better health soon.
-
Thanks Brad
I do hope to get back into using SU some time soon. I do have quite a few unfinished projects still and hope to have them done but with less to them than I had hoped. There are some good ones to come. -
Well, I havenāt done much in SU lately but here are some sketches I have done.
These three are all based on the same template so they are similar.
2010 Ford Falcon Coupe
2010 Ford Capri
2010 Mercury Cougar
This here is a custom version of the Ford Taunus. The Taunus is a nice British coupe. This, however, is a lower, longer American model I have designed. It only took about 15min but it looks okay.
...the front is a little messed up -
Hmm... the sharp lines and the thin pillars on the "American" Taunus give it a futuristic look. Nevertheless, still "teh hotness". That Capri got a funny shape too - CARS-esque (with the grille and all).
I'm thinking of rigging up one of your Cobras with SP3 and yes, it'll drift and handle properly if you know the procedure (vapourware already...). I'm not using any scripting stuff like the pros do, just some old-school physics nonsense. My graphics card is sh*t so I can't guarantee how awesome the drifting will be. The Cobra doesn't kill my graphics card and I can't find anything better, so I'll stick with that. I'll post it here once done, if you don't mind - the warehouse got very childish...
Speaking of drifting, I got one of those cheap Hummer Monster Truck-ish R/C toys that I converted into a drift car (yes, it really does drift, on carpets too... sometimes). I actually placed the battery in front of the front axle, removed some weight and spray-painted it black. Pity the battery wouldn't charge any more.
Since when were R/C toys related to car companies? rimshot

Thanks Shams. Iām just getting back into my drawing so hopefully I will improve.
I canāt wait to see your SP model.
I have noticed Dennis (TigreFeroceč») and Jordey (fioranojc) are back from their somewhat busy lifeās and have started to model again, so here is just a little more work from me after my long break.
I do also hope to model another wheel soon
I have added a grille, finishing the front end. I have only the dash, seats and seat belts to finish. -
I have done a little more work on my Sentient sedan
I don't know if you can really tell what I have done but itās obvious to me
