I am trying to figure out how to change the wood grain direction in a component? Any ideas?
-
Did you apply the material to the component or the faces in the component?
I've already done a tutorial that covers this here.
-
I applied to the component
-
Thanks Dave
I will try as to your tutorial

Don't apply materials to components. Open them for editing and apply the materials to the faces.
-
When I rt. click on a face I do not get the options that you get in your video
-
Exactly! That's because you applied the material to the component and not to the faces inside the component. If you looked at my tutorial you would see that I explicitly explain that.
-
This is indeed strange. When you applied texture to the opened component it applied the woodgrain to all the faces. When I tried the same thing it only applied to one face?
-
It's not that strange. Before applying the material to the faces, I selected all of them. If you triple click on a component with the Select tool, the component will be opened for editing and all of the entities inside will be selected.

Ok Dave I finally got it-I think I'm loosing it-heyhe and thankyou very much,
I also found your video on animation great.
