Hadn't seen that one, Pete...nice. I always liked the one looking up at the severe angle!
Here's one of my latest (favs I haven't made yet) in the new tech of the 'same' model (which I hesitate to add to this marvelous company):

Like most people, I generally like the last one I've done the best... but these two I rather like....one done in Kerky and the other in Podium and both variations on the one theme.

Al, if you want good looking apples id stronlgy recomend projecting a photo of an apple on to the model. It helps a lot with fruit.

              EDIT: new favourite πŸ˜„

Really nice stuff, i especially like that foggy one solo, a very cool effect.

ray, which render engine did you use for that? it looks very nice

You know kids these days, with all the 'bling' at their finger tips it's hard to impress them. I think the poster eventually became a paint-ball target. πŸ˜’

Not a lot to choose from here, as I've only done a couple of proper renders... Great work everyone! I don't know where I'd learn any of this without this inspiring community (KT forum too:) What a fantastic resource! I look forward to the day when I can create something even close to on par with some of the art that's represented here. Peace!mod1.jpg

Nick I have seen your work on Kerky, and you are a fast learner. I'm still trying to do a kitchen rendering with results like yours.

I don't render much but this my favorite one from my small collection. I did it shortly after I discovered SketchyPhysics. Indigo render.

I got this version of Bumblebee from the 3D warehouse.

On the first render I just added a reflective floor and some material finishes.

In the second version, I added a background image I took from the top floor of the St. Francis on Union Square in San Francisco.

I rendered it in IDX Renditioner at 3072x4096 and resized in PhotoShop for upload to this gallery.

Original model from 3D warehouse - added a floor

Rendered in IDX Renditioner, applied polished finishes to Bumblebee and reflection to the floor.

                                            Rendered with a background environment.
