      Fantastic and really interesting comparison...

I'm starting to get slightly dizzy... πŸ˜’

As a note, this thread is not meant to be a comparison as it was stated in the first post.
:('This is not meant as a comparison thread between render engines. Just an exercise on using them.'
Looks like some of you are making it into one ... πŸ˜‰

I would still love to have this scene... πŸ˜‰
Would it be possible for you to share it, Chris..??

      Cheers

For me, the most relevant piece of information - render time is missing...

Oops! I ought to have known that he wouldn't have omitted this information. Shame on me! 😳

You didn't include the render time for Podium.

              Hi kwistenbiebel,

The render with Podium is very nice. Could you tell us please what settings you used on Podium and Sketchup?

              Thanks a lot

πŸ˜† In three month time, this thread is 5 years old...
Looking forward to see if Chris (aka kwistenbiebel) can remember the settings after such loooong time... πŸ˜‰

If I could get the scene I'd be more than willing to run it through Thea.

I used the default 'thin glass' or 'ghost glass' settings for the single faced glass panels for all render engines except for Indigo where I used a 'glossy transparent' (Indigos thin glass can only be applied to double faced glass).

..are you sure? I've not neing using TG since a long time, but I remember it is quite straightforward: TG is the perfect material if you want to be sure your glass will render...fine, despite it's a volumetric object or not.

BTW, interesting tests! We can all see that nowadays all the render engines are very good and comparable πŸ˜‰
