Hi Scotty
Yep I use it and others renders and it works just fine. See thread. http://www.sketchucation.com/scf/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=2130
I particularity use the pdf creator.
If there is any problems, AL and Rich are very much on the case and get a fix out quick if needed.Don't know why there are not more postings here, suppose the uses must be a quiet bunch.
The Irender gallery has some excellent exampleshttp://forums.renderplus.com/gallery/ particularly look at Jaktavia and pat at gsarchitectsllc. I would also have a look at the Accurender site http://gallery.mcneel.com/?g=43 as Irender is based on this.
NB Accurender is developing new render engine nXt, and I believe Al is looking a integrating this into Irender in the future.I have no preference for Irender and I suspect like others if you "lurk" on various sites as I do you will quickly see a small group of people who are generally use most of them, and others who are rightly passionate and vociferous about the engines they use, and put a great deal of effort and time into their development, making it all the better for use sketchup users.
I'm been using KT at the moment, and a have toyed with podium and vray and I'm just waiting for the modo sketchup plugin, and will probably buy it. I wanted to down load the evaluation copy, but you can't because of the huge take up of the latest 301 version. It what sails your boat.
The reason I cannot post more and have not posted recently is
1.Client confidentiality agreements, they own the bragging rights.
2.I have just recently change firms over last the 2 months etc so I can do more design and rendering, but the work so far has been for same clients Boo!!which has meant I have not had the time to produce the lighting TUT.PS I understand what you are saying, and I would like to see more Irender items.
I see the posting of renders from any rendering engine not as bragging but to aspire to and learn from, and get feedback from the knowledgeable community out there. It keeps me abreast of the way they are developing and how I could use them.Richcat

Thanks.
Yeah this is were I get in trouble when I stumble onto yet another engine. Its a double edge sword I guess because though I find new engines here and there that I may be interested in I takes me away from completing my studies on the previous version I stumbled on.
I have to get a grip or experience a intervention before I overdose on render engines.

You're right Scotty they are very addictive, its almost like collecting beer mats, you just have to get the next one . Then I get into what if I try this setting or that setting, check out the forums for tips etc. and then hey the days gone! :esurp:
