David,
Looking at the "backside" I'm thinkin' your client might have a chance...beautiful work! Thanks for sharing.I'll add a "what Boo said" as well: you have a really nice touch with SU materials.
Best, Tom. -
Here's a few more. The next 4 are for a church renovation and addition project again in good 'ol Greensboro, NC. This is probably one of my favorite projects because I got to use all my Sketchup "skills" I guess you could say to complete to project. Took about 2 weeks with going out to the site and taking pictures then having to photoshop them to use as textures. I took pictures of all the landscaping and thats what you see in the pics. Thanks for letting me share!

The cars are from FormFonts and a couple of trees are actually from FF. Last one.
-
Sorry, one more. If you live in Greensboro or the surrounding area you might've already seen this one. It is in almost all the apartment finder books.

Ok, I promise this is the last one. At least for today. The client for this one wanted to know whether they would have to cut down that tree right behind the building. So they wanted me to a model of the building a put it in a pic that they took of the site from street level. I thought it came out rather nice. Now, ERIC there will be a starbucks at the end of this building where you see the drive-thru window. THEY'RE FREAKING EVERYWHERE! haha. Thanks to all you happy sketchuppers!

now I hope you understand... by showing so much ability you're obliged to share some of that wealth you call a brain...
one thing I find very educational in your renderings is how much of an area you portray in your views... I hardly ever have call to finish a rendering, normally they are simply views to show the client the look and feel of the home, and it is normally in process of design, not afterwards. looking at your work helps me to see what presentation or amount of surrounding area really communicates the project.
thanks for sharing, and I look forward to hearing about some of your techniques.
-
Well I like to create a frame with the landscaping. Sometimes the renderings can get boring if all you are looking at is just the building. But I also try not to take the eye away from building considering that is really what they want to see.
Krisidious-what techniques do you want to know? -
wow...these compositions are great...hard to believe that most are native sketchup output! awesome!
(love the dachshunds too i've got two myself )
