SU pinocchio
-
so basically i was bored and had nothin much better to do today... (sounds fun doesnt it?? )
i took out my mannequin model.. did some rigging... (oh it was so damn hard that i promised myself not to do it ever!!!) borrowed some models from the Warehouse.. fiddled with some materials.. and rendered in Vray for SU..
a lil bit of post production and there...
the name was suggested by Ivica.. thanx dude!
thanx for watchin!!

Really nice work. I think my only comment would be that the leaves on the tree are the only thing taking away from the detail of the render. Change that and you would have a really cool render.
Nice work.
Ivica is always good for chiming in with his comments!

jj, I like it a bunch too! Fun play...I think the cowboy hat (nice touch BTW) should be resting on something of a nose, maybe the butterfly is about to land on the tip of it? Anyway, thanks for sharing your grin, Tom.

Great stuff. Make some more please.
I love this image. -
JJ,
Great stuffHe he, I saw immediately this wasn't a Kerkythea image.
Nice soft mood and nice 'nd rich colour bleeding.
Vray definitely has a very complete colour palette. -
thank u all...
Vray sure is very powerful.. i think its the internal tone mapping that makes much of the difference.

...I think there is more to it than just the tonemapping.
Somehow the V core produces good color bleeding.
To compare render engines I sometimes load the output image in Pshop and do a 'color count'.
Very often that is a good parameter to see how the light (and thus) colour is distributed or bounced around by the engine.Flat output = low color count etc...
-
yes ur rite.. color bleeding is definetly more for the vray engine...
i did an interior in KT and tried some PS work to mimic the vray output.. i think i did a bad job at that.. but the overall effect is something i liked..
much noisier though...

where is his nose?? haha.. this is great though.... i agree about the leaves.... the grass is a little neat...but i think it works for the image...

my pinocchio never talks... so he doesnt have a nose!
