Animating a series of transformations?

I'm attempting to have a sequence of several objects moving or transforming, while at the same time animating the action with a flythrough. Essentially I'd like to transform one object from point A to point B, then another object from point C to D, etc. The flythrough animation would document the complete process. I've read about transform_beta.rb as well as SUanimate, but I know I'm still a number of steps away from the solution. Any suggestions? It seems that SUanimate can do this only for a single object.
