How do I make things move when they are jointed
-
Hello! I'm quite new at this and I can't make something that is jointed with for e.g. a hinge to move, how do I do it?
-
My knowledge of sketchyphysics is very limited, but i the basic idea is that joints are by default set as 'static'objects. To change this, you need to right click the object and change the setting from 'static' to soemtihng else (sorry, i cant remeber what the other options are)
-
I've tryed that... then the joint falls down on the floor, but the thing I've jointed it to is still unmovable
-
Try this:
-Make a box.
-Make a joint.
->Group the box and joint.
-Create another box.
-Use the Joint Connection tool to connect the second box to the joint.
-Press play.If you want a joint to move it must be grouped with another object that moves (the first box).

Yeah... that works! thanks! Now I don't have any more problems... But does anyone know if I can make a spring that's alredy "pressed in", so when I start it the spring press out instead of just sitting there untill something else press against it... You see, I'm trying to build a magazine for a gun, and the only way I know how to make the spring press up the bullets is to build a machine that insert each bullet after I've started the simulation And that's not how I want it!!
