Nice one lapx, snow scenes are NOT easy! Looks a bit like it's floating, maybe needs some shadows to set it down?

Thanks Tinanne, some one else had mentioned that to me. I was trying to replicate the actual photo which surprisingly has no shadow. (see the link).

Boofredlay I may do that when I get a chance to make another pass.
If you noticed there are some horizontal rails that did not get exorted in the rendering I'll revist and fix this as well.

Cool idea! And nice execution.
I took a shot at setting it down on the ground.
added some shadow (the problem with mimicking the lack of shadow from the original is that yours sits slightly foreground of the original - notice there's no depth in the foundation of the original image. and I added some happy little snow piles, blurred the stilts into the snow... oh, and desaturated/lightened a bit - could probably even use a little more lightening on the dark brown facade.
