Just change the name of the controller to joyLX,joyLY,joyRX or joyRY.

It doesnt require a specific joypad but one with actual analog sticks is needed. Here is the one I use:

do you basically plug in a controller to a USB port. Any adapters needed or software to recognize it? obviously a simple controler is adequate enough but i would like to know what things may pop up when i give this a try.

          Thanks!

Yes most joysticks are USB. Whether you need software or not depends on the joystick. Most should probably be recognized by windows and just work. A good joystick shouldn't cost more than $20-30 and maybe a lot less on line. Make sure it has 2 good analog thumb sticks like in the picture above.

I've got a joypad, but it does'nt work very well... It's a Xbox 360 one.
I just can use "joyRX" and "joyRY" !

Other commands can be used with the triggers of the pad.
I remember that when I tried it, one of the "joy**" commands could not be used.

The left stick of the pad is not functional at all...... 😞

The left stick should work if you have the controller set to joyLX or joyLY. Try out the gamepad diagnostics in the windows control panel and make sure it works there.
