      OF COURSE!!!
That's fantastic!!! Very motivational - this is not thread jacking, but a really great contribution to an otherwise dull and "going nowhere" thread. Thanks Ely for your contributions - beautiful work!!!

Trying something new (for me) . . . I'm going to get a "rough block" of the car, then soften it up, add details, blah, blah, blah.

I have next week off - one of my goals is to create an quasi-realistic model of the Enzo.

Maybe this is too complex for my skills, but I'm going to try it anyway. I'm guessing that after about 86 or 87 serious attempts at it, maybe I'll start getting it right.

            Happy Sketching,

            Brad

. . . maybe I'm just stupid . . . but for me, with my skills (or lack thereof) this is
              really challenging . . . but fun 😍

. . . it's getting late . . . more tomorrow . . . oh, & before I forget, mega-thanks to all of you who've said kind words about this ongoing project and especially mega-thanks to those who've offered "how to" suggestions and help, especially Ely - these words are very encouraging and I finally feel like I'm beginning to turn the corner and I'm beginning to see where I need to go . . . still have a very long way . . .

. . . ugly wheels . . . I'd like to learn how to render using Kerkythera (sp?), so, next week, that's going to be one of my goals . . .

                        Great advice, thanks.

Here's another very fast car - I didn't have any real idea behind these last two - I think this is obvious. For me, when I have no "direction" or, if I don't have an image of what I want to end up with, it's not very likely I'm going to "magically" have a beautiful model pop up on the screen. There's so much more to great design than just knowing how to use the tool (CAD s/w).

Someone once said, "If you don't know where you're going, there's usually no point in starting the journey" - very true.

i usually start from an ideea:a front bumper, some front end lights a type of roof,a rear bumper, then if u do another part is all about filling space..but...filling with taste πŸ˜‰

                            . . . another ultra-fast model, obviously lacking lots of significant detail . . . looks like I applied the material while wearing a blindfold . . . ? . . .

Yes, so, here's another front bumper - the "shark nose" is already over done - I'll move on to something else . . . filling with taste - very funny, but true - easier said than done, IMO.

                                  Thank you.

Here's a very boring car . . . I think it could be salvaged by adding some details. I need to add mirrors, door handles, lights, part lines (hood, bumpers, et cetera) and then toss one into Kerkythera, although I've only done 2 super-simple renderings with KT so far.

I realize my cars are very rough and that if I spent more time stitching surfaces they'd be smoother - that will come later.

                                  Happy sketching,

                                  Brad

I'm creating a tutorial for this front end - I was almost done when I ran out of "undo".

This front end literally takes 3 minutes, 4 with the scoop, & the tutorial might be useful for someone - it's super easy. The design is "flexible", meaning, if you set it up with layers, you can smush, stretch, pull, tug, rotate, move, et cetera, fairly easily for some decent "what if", on the fly design changes.

BTW, does anyone know if there's a way to use the Drape tool without having to tilt the model vertical?

                                      Happy modeling,

                                      Brad
