Drawing App for iPhone!
-
Hi Guys,
This may be of interest to anyone that has an iPhone. Its a simple Drawing Application called Sketches, download here, http://sketchesapp.com/Home.html
The blurb goes,
Would you like to jot down notes on your iPhone's gorgeous touch screen? Are you missing a way to sketch a simple diagram as a quick reminder? Will your children like to draw on your iPhone, maybe on top of a picture you shoot with the camera? Sketches is a native iPhone application that will allow you to do all that. Scribble your thoughts quickly, select a picture from your photo album to draw notes on top, or shoot a photo of your friend just for the sake of putting a moustache on her face You can even erase your drawing by shaking your iPhone, as if it were an etch-a-sketch!
I hope the iPhone is introduced to Ireland soon .... its long overdue.
Mike
PS: Love the 'shake to erase' feature.

Hi Remus,
I dont know very much about any of them, only what I read but imagine they would work on an iPod Touch. You could always email them to find out?

Hello, I am one of the developer of Sketches. I can confirm that our application runs both on the iPhone and on the iPod touch. You will need to jailbreak it, though. This is because no official support from Apple for third party apps exists yet, although it has been announced that a mechanism for developers to distribute their apps will be unveiled in late February.
If you do decide to jailbreak your iPod, the easiest way to install Sketches is using Installer.app (http://iphone.nullriver.com/beta/), an application that will allow you to download packages over your WiFi
connection. Sketches is listed in the Productivity section. Thanks a lot for your interest in our software.

Cheers for the help jorge, might give this a go later.

Welcome Jorge, good to have an iPhone expert on the forum
Mike
PS: Glad I did not say anything bad about Sketches, I'm looking forward to trying it out in the near future.

Hey all,
I'm also an iPhone developer and I've been working on another drawing app called NetSketch. The official 2.0 release of the iPhone will allow you to install apps without jailbreaking the device. It seems like there will be quite a few drawing programs to choose from (though I admit I'm biased).
So if you're thinking about jailbreaking your device - dont! There will be plenty of options soon
