Sorry, I haven't replied... deadlines, kid's school field trips... it's a wonderful life.

I'm going to try the suggestions. The different color on the fog, sounds like a good idea, and Maggy, yes I need to shade the heli model, thanks.

          todamgood4U... thank you 😉

tinanne - wonderful work as always ... I love the first image it really shows the project and the architecture well. I have a bit of a problem with the second image, I know how much you love to break boarders and I think it is effective in both images but in the second image my eye keeps getting hung up on the "mountain" that you cabin is sitting on, it feels a little too dominant. Just being a little bit picky and as always a little bit in awe.

            😄

              Thanks Bob 😉

I totally agree about the cabin site. The client made me go back and add more... TWICE!!! 😲

              Clients.....

I really like the image, but I think that the mountains in the back (in both images) is too strong, I would fade, or grey them out just a little bit to give a feeling of depth to the building.

other than that I absolutely love it!

Such a dramatic, panoramic and beautiful landscape would overpower anything man-made - as it should. Your 'cabin' is bound to come off second best if it tries to compete. Perhaps a better tactic would be to view the house close-up for details and have the landscape seen as background - through windows as its occupants would.

Another poster has background scenes of the Dalmatian coast as seen from his SU patio - works very well.

                    Bernard,

I agree! I tried to sell the client on a couple of interior views, but he wasn't interested. I didn't finish them, but these were some of my initial ideas.

Tina, I'm thinking you were difinitely on the right track with the interiors...that's the real drama! The only thing that bothers me about the first images is the difference in lighting on the home and the mountain beyond. True, pretty realistic moment and lovely moment in time, but I think the building lit up some similarly would pull the two together. IMHO, Tom. (Beautiful site BTW!)

Tom, thanks. Yes, lighting would be crucial if I ever finish these. At the time, I didn't want to put too much time into them if the client wasn't going to pay for those views. So I presented them as "shells", no pretty stuff. But for portfolio sake, I'm going to revisit all of these drawings some day and finish/change them to the way I wanted them to be! LOL That's why I've come here to get advise and comments.

Thank you all soooo much. I'm actually getting a hankering to work on these again.... in my spare time, ha-ha-ha.
