SU 6 with Vista

Before I buy a new laptop which seems nowadays has to come with Vista, need to ask this question :-

will SU 6 work with vista no probs??

I don't have either a laptop or Vista but what I keep reading on all forums that this is the most risky combination since laptops usually have integrated video cards and they often do not have updated drivers for Vista.

Video card manufacturers say it should be done by laptop manufacturers and vice versa.
So if you decide to buy a laptop with Vista, make sure to buy one with a dedicated and supported graphics card.

Of course I may be totally wrong with this but it's worth being careful and look around a bit before you jump into this.

I have just purchased a laptop in the last few weeks running Vista Home Premium.
Works perfectly with SU 6.0.515

In fact, Vista is a great OS imo, I really like it.

It seems to be graphic card drivers that are the problem if anything from what I can gather.

My comp has Nvidia 8400GT 128mb.

congrats on your new machine. Specs look great but also i'm glad to hear you don't have any Vista problems.

When I do finally make the move toward a new machine i'll feel better about the whole thing

Dylan - is your graphics card an intergrated one.

How do you find using it with big models.

It is a dedicated graphics card.
It is handling SU fine although I have not put it through it's paces yet.

What I will do is test it some more later and report back.
