I'm not an architect so whenever I comment something, it's not the "expert eye" I'm looking at things. Nevertheless I like this one - could you post some other views as well?

This is not dull at all but this is what SU can do - after all it's a "sketching" program (no matter how detailed a work can be made in it).
As for lighting, everyone uses external renderers let them be commercial or free softwares. See a list here.
To tell the truth I'm not good at rendering at all (I have so far used Podium eval. and Kerkythea and looked into 3D Studio a bit). There are guys around here with much greater talents and expertise than me.

thanks for the list....but there are so many of them i got confused whish one to use....hahaha.....can u name one for me thats easy to use with sketchup....and yes i've downloaded podium. the examples that i've seen is just wow....but when i tried putting the light fixtures(that i downloaded from podium)they dont illiminate and get vanish on the image.....but when i render them on a fresh sketchup page they are illluminating just fine...whats the problem ????bye

Well, shreesti, Podium is supposed to be one of the easiest and best integrated renderers. However I'm not a Podium guru so I don't know what went wrong with your model.
Another well integrated renderer (though I have never tried) is iRender but I don't know anything about that either.
Kerkythea has also a nicely integrated plugin to SU but it renders externally. It is a little bit more complicated but can result in nice images at already an early stage of the learning curve. Also, Keky is free.

Very nice concept. Clean and easy to view.
Im not a architect or designer by any means, but I can give my two cents on your image. Small things, but beauty is in the details, right?? or is that the devil is in the details?-
The curbs have been extruded, which created those non-smoothed lines on the edges. You can hide these with the 'cntrl + erase command. It smoothes them out. You can hide them with the 'shift + erase tool but it does not 'smooth' the surface.

Idea to play with. Tinker with sketchy lines. I have a great time playing with different styles and blending them in photoshop.

If you import this into 'Layout', you can control the thickness of your linework.
Just some ideas.

I think you have shown some good skills and imagination in modelling that building.
If you can tweak a few things and work a little on presenting it then you really will be making big steps.I agree with Robert on experimenting with linework to get a different or better effect.
I personally like to export 2 images and get my lineweight right in Photoshop.
