Intel processor price cut

Hi there people, I thought I'd drop a notice in here to let everyone know that Intel has cut the prices on their "older" CPU's as they're introducing newer models now.
One CPU in particular has dropped by about 50%, yes you read it correctly. It is the Q6600 (2.4 GHz quad core CPU, 1066 MHz FSB, 8MB L2 cache) and it should be retailing at about $266, I've read reports that some online shops have raised their prices due to demand.
For those not interested in a quad core CPU, another CPU to consider is the new E6850 (3.0 GHz dual core CPU, 1333 MHz FSB, 4MB L2 cache) also should be retailing at about $266.
Of course there are a number of other CPU's that have seen their prices slashed, you'll have to check at your local IT shop (or online shop for that matter) to see what's new and what has been cut to which price point.
