. Modeled from a pic I found, kind of old school home office type desk. Pic of the raw model and a render. It least this one doesn't have questionable legs

You're right. It is fun to create a model for the heck of it, and the more complex the better. I just finished a job for a colleague that had me do fully detailed models of 10 pieces of period furniture, working from an inaccurate cutlist, crummy exploded views, and some photos that didn't always show me what I needed to see. So, of course, the first thing I did after I completed the last model was to make another model for myself to put in the 3D Warehouse.
