Mac users--Help Idea for save dialog?
-
A little thing.
Some time ago when you wanted to replace a file (save over) you could just hit return to replace. Now it has changed to the return being "cancel". Can this be switched back the other way?
Alternately is there some key to hit to get the alternate button choice. I do this all the time and mousing up every time is getting tiresome.
This is not the save within the application, this is when you are saving a new file with the same name.

I'm unsure I understand the question...
how do you save a new file outside of the application that creates it?
if however you mean this...
then, yes you can set your System Preferences to toggle the buttons using the tab key...
however, the same Preference will then allocate the 'Space' to 'Model Info' instead of 'Select' in SU...
much more frustrating in the 'short' term...

In my experience the "Cancel" will be blue and you can push return to cancel. I want to push return to replace. (Used to be this way). Most common use for me is print to pdf and want to replace a drawing in the same directory that has a previous version. Want it to go faster-- I often have a couple dialogs that come up. Push return on this one, mouse to a button on that one. Eh Hundreds of time a week it seems. Just want to key it and done.
