Thx for the info but that is not a direct loading the prog, you must wait that they recall you!
Are you recalled for test it? -
yes, i got an invite
it only took a day to get
the program runs in the cloud, no local install
thats is bit of a worry if you loose internet connection or company goes broke! -
Does it different than Fusion 360 who is yet excellent and have the same work cloud process?
you have a free version for a year!
-
Yep, I'm really liking Onshape too. I got in this week and have been playing with it. It's very similar to Fusion 360 - basically Google Docs for mechanical CAD. Fusion 360 is more advanced since it's been in production for a couple of years, but I feel more comfortable in Onshape because the workflow is like Solidworks, which I am already familiar with.
Here's a great review of Onshape by Adam Ohearn from Cadjunkie

It only took a few minutes to get the Beta invite.
I had a play around with Onshape and found it quite intuitive and feel that a novice could get to grips with the application in a few hours.
And yes, there is a free full version limited to 5 projects / storage. The Professional version with unlimited projects / storage is $100 per month which looks to be reasonably good value for the user that is into product / part design.

Limit of 5 projects for the free version is not a real limit as you can "Activate" "Desactivate" projects!
