Protect Commercial Plugin

Hi,
I have some plugins that I would like to release for sale. I have read the information here:

about Distributing Your Plugin
My question is this:

How do you protect the plugin from being distributed to multiple computers?

Is there a platform for selling paid plugins? I know that you can run into issues selling items for small amounts due to credit card charge-backs and fees. How do people deal with this?
