    Hi all,

I nearly bought these for sketchupping but realized they mightn't have the resolution required or the ability to refresh in synch with my laptop fast enough:
    http://www.amazon.com/Prober-84inch-Virtual-Screen-Glasses/dp/B00DHCQI86

I would LOVE to further mobilize my sketchup operations by hooking something like this up to my laptop but am unsure if the appropriate hardware is yet available....

Anyone had any experience or got suggestions?

    Ash

Just some stuff I do with Sketchup.

Avoid at all costs, i bought something similar about 2 yrs ago, complete waste of time, and money.

      1. the rez is so low its virtually impossible to model in SU,
      2. after about 5 mins these things generate so much heat you will need sunblock to protect your nose.
      3. causes headaches and discomfort, maybe its due to the lens been so close to your eyes, im not sure.

Im sure about 1 thing tho, if i sit to think more about how bad these things are id have a list the length of my arm, don't waste your time or money with this thing, don't even think about it, if you do you will set yourself up for a huge disappointment.

If i where you id wait for the consumer version of the Oculus Rift, i have the dev kit but still not suitable for SU use but i can see it getting to the stage in the not so distant future, i wrote about it here http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=72%26amp;t=51973
in my opinion its far better than that device you displayed.

      Bring on the Rain...
