Hi, is there a topic on how to post a video to the forum. Preferred format, image diminsions, max size, etc?
Did a search but couldn't find anything.
      Cheers

For Screenr videos, you only have to copy the last part of the videolink and paste it like this:

        [screenr]rviH[/screenr]

          Hi Baz,

There is this BBvideo tag you can use. When you are on YouTube or Vimeo, simply copy the URL of the video and insert it between the tags like below:

          [BBvideo 640,480]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMN_cfCSFWw[/BBvideo]

Make sure that you insert it as http, not https otherwise it does not work.
          A YouTube example:

A Vimeo example (again, deleting the "s" from https):

There is no special uploading rule if you want to upload here and not on a video sharing site butz since we have attachment size limits, it may be too small for a video.

Hi guys, wasn't thinking of YouTube Epic Fails or similar. Want to share a 'CamStudio' vid.
IE: a video screen capture of a SU process.

I see - but nothing prevents you from uploading it to YT first, does it? On YT, you can upload a video to be "unlisted" - i.e. it won't appear under your videos nor will it be searchable. I have a few videos - screen-captured with CamStudio actually - uploaded to YT myself.

Again: videos can be extremely large files. Sites like YT or Vimeo have a very good and fast CDN all over the world so videos from their sites stream much faster than downloading anything uploaded here.

Hey Gai, I'm being a bit thick here, but are you saying that if one wants to share a vid on the forum, one first loads it to YouTube, then one embed's it in one's post?

Sorry about all the 'one's. I had an attack of grammar:)

                  ...

                  Well, yes, basically. 😄

Or do what Box suggests - or there is also Jing which also has some instant sharing options.

If ewe just want to do quick vid captures, have a look at Screenr, it's a web based capture program that is free and can be easily posted here. Ewe record what ewe want and it gives ewe a link to place in a post.
                    http://www.screenr.com

Also as it's not installed on your computer ewe simply log int it from any computer and use it.

Sorry about the ewe's, I had an attack of kiwi.
