Sugestions for chair modeling

Hello.
Im having some trouble accurately modeling and texturing this chair, so it came to my mind that there is a lot real life woodworkers with great skills in SU modeling on this forum.
My question is, how would you go about modeling this chair ?

Certainly it helps to break it into smaller, more manageable parts, like you would in the shop in real life. BTW, do you have any info on the craftsman of the chair? I like it!

Thanks Pilou, i found one very useful plugin in tuts you sent, and yes u are right, it is torsio chair from Bosnian wood furniture manufacturers Artisan http://www.artisan.ba/
They have great designs, all made from solid wood and hand crafted.
