      Aston Martin Vantage sketchup & maxwell. My car phase is over for the moment next aircraft. Finding airport and sky HDR environments is difficult. Does anyone have any leads ?

              Nice rendering once again Simon...one question: do you use AGS for the windshield and headlights? I'm planning to make some night car scenes and i would love to use some SSS material for the backlight coverglass but as it's maxwells standard problem it causes a lot of noise when light is passing trough it πŸ˜• do you have any solution?

              the other thing is that mostly all the geometry of the lights in the free car 3ds files is grouped and i haven't figured out how to seperate them to get different light intensities from the headlights, daytime running lights, position lights, etc. any clue on this? πŸ˜„

                Yes pretty much always AGS for speed sometimes i adjust the reflections up a little. Regarding the headlight groups just edit them in sketch up, you can open them (hide other geometry) paint your emitter material on the bulb etc. Be careful though high poly emitters are a slow down. You could also just add simple planes as emitters inside the lamp assembly.
