A client requested a redo of their resort logo as they couldn't recall (so long ago) who had created the original.

This was to be said a difficult one given the bulk of curves but I managed after lots of manipulation to get it about right.

The shapes where created tracing the original with two point arcs and then using the join tool stitched together and then more accurately manipulated.

As Layout's font kerning has much to be desired, each letter was placed as a text box separately and then optically kerned by hand.

looks great! - Not sketchup, but if you have CorelDRAW or Adobe Illustrator, but have features they will take a scan and convert to vector output. Sometimes it is a little hit and miss, but you can then clean it up. Another way that would be fairly easy and accurate is to import into autocad and trace it. Just some alternate ways.
