This is Thea with SketchUp and GIMP output for Novi Sad city library competition.
All done in hurry. Done it for nothing except the joy of creation...no prize ...
and the question about the problem I always have when printing rendered images. They look much more dull and darker on paper. Please give me some advices on the right way of printing Thea and Sketchup renders.

Not sure how much you could call this advice but...
I've also experienced similar issues with prints looking dull, being the wrong colors, etc. I calibrated the monitors and printers to have the same color profiles and still nothing. Then one day my boss said, (I'm paraphrasing and removing the many explatives) We can't afford to print things a million times anymore. What comes out is what we show.
After several months of slowely tweeking little settings here and there I think I'm headed in the right direction. So far I'm using a tweeked RGB profile on a CMYK printer and a CMYK plotter. Until the company decides to buy a plotter that's younger than me I think I'll have to continue doing it this way. Perhaps trial and error is your only option too. Even if it takes months.

Thank brokenkeys. We have the same problem. Interesting to know is that printed on laser printer (Xerox Phaser 7...) it turned out very good without any experimenting...but the size is the problem than. The biggest is A3+.

I have the same issues when printing. Always a duller image, and sometimes they have the greenies. Unless you have a high tech monitor and color calibration software with a measuring device you should stick with the sRGB color output. I typically output to PDF or jpeg through either Sketchup or layouts export options. When printing, I have to make sure I print in SRGB profile mode in order to print what I see. When printing, go to advanced printing options; look for 'color profile' and pick sRGB. This will render closer to what you see on the screen; lastly, the images saved with this color profile should look as intended for display on LCD screens the web etc. Only the fussiest of print jobs cant be done this way. If you require CYMK print capability then you'll have to invest in a color calibration solution.
