    Hi diweiman,

This is a nice idea - and sometimes even encouraged by ruby scripters. I know Fredo likes his plugins translated into different languages (sigh... I even started to translate some but never finished).

Also, Rick Wilson's "Windowizer" plugin is translated into several languages (true that it's a commercial plugin and they exclusively distribute it via their Smustard site and payment is done via PayPal so that might still be a barrier).

    Thanks Gaieus!
We would very gald do that if the scripters authorizd us.
We can only translate the scripts which is not encrypted. Are the most commercial plugins encrypted?Maybe we can find another way to do with this. ☀

Well, in this case, I think it is not that hard as Rick made a separate language file for his (otherwise) encrypted plugin. You only need to translate that particular language file and this makes it even easier.

I think the same goes with Fredo's plugins.

You can PM to Rick and Fredo if you wish. I don't know if other authors like this idea that's why I mentioned only this two, who have already done things like that.

I see that this is a good iniative, this is excatly how sketchupbar and others should have started they "work" originally. Contact to authors of those scripts and plugins in interest and nogotiate suitable terms.

BTW if most (or "major" or "commercial" or "big, complex" etc.etc...) plugins were all mde with these language files, the localisation (not only to Chinese of course) would be much easier.

I know it's much hassle while scripting but I guess, it could be rewarding at the end.

I connected with Fredo. He suggested me to do with some of his plugins.
              We've finished the follow plugins:

              1.LibFredo6 3.4
              2.RoundCorner 2.1a
              3.FredoScale 2.0g

The separate language files are do easier to us.
We're testing them now. We'll send Fredo the .lang files for retesting later.

We hope more plugins can be authorized.

I've PM'ed you now. I am interested. I would like to set up my scripts like Fredo's, with the translation files. But that is a lot of work, and I know I won't get around to it soon. So for now, making a separate script like this will have to be good enough with my scripts.

Check your PM and get back to me. Thanks,

                Chris

Lately you've been tan, suspicious for the winter.

                  😎

NOTE : Just Say to chinese brother!

You might want to change the title of your post to "Free Chinese Localization" and ask the developers to just put their name on a list here. I can't see why all wouldn't want to take advantage of this.

There has been some reluctance in the past as free scripts can end up for sale somewhere in another country. I think this type of scam is getting more difficult though because more of us are watching now and the bad guys get routed out pretty quick.

I think your suggestion is a wonderful way to get exposure for all rubies.

I've edit the title.Thank you for your suggestion!

                      Language translators, and proofreaders needed.
