C.M.E.W. & Water Tower

Central Marine Electric Works office block/factory and Water Tower. Two separate buildings around 500 meters apart but modeled into one scene. Late 1800's early 1900's Hartlepool was a major player in the world ship building industry, with slightly under 2000 ships/liners produced in the six yards. The biggest yard Wm. Gray's alone produced over 1000 vessels; the last yard closing in 1961. The render is not what I envisaged, but with so much brick-work it's as good as I can get!

You are one really tough guy. I think the texturing for those pavestones would drive me to drink-- a whole lot more than I do. I'll bet you are glad you didn't have to model them.
Of course, silver shadow would think nothing of modeling them. Wonder where he is, now?

Another excellent job. The gable in the foreground on the right, however, isn't showing any thickness to the roof material.
I'm curious to know how you create your brick arches.

Hello Daniel, you're correct about the roof line! I suppose it's not bad 1 fault picked up for the size of the model, I can see a few shhhh.
The arches where made using Thomtom's great UV Toolkit.... http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=180&t=18992#p15575, also Gaieus has a tutorial on the same page. It's not exactly how I use it but you'll get the jist.
