Film & Stage (Advanced Camera Tools) Plugin Added Methods
-
Just a FYI, the most recent (03/2011) Film and Stage plugin from Google SketchUp adds some methods to a few of the built-in classes:
Sketchup::Entity
&Sketchup::ComponentInstance
:
get_attributes()
has_attributes?()
Sketchup::Camera
:
copy()
update()
same_camera_params?()
Just a friendly reminder that Google can/does make changes to the built-in classes at-will, and since SketchUp's Ruby space is shared by all plugins, it is to everyone's benefit if user-land plugins avoid adding/modifying the built-in classes altogether.

What's the latest release for the Film & Stage Plugin?
(I still have the 1-25-2011 beta release, which is the 2nd beta release, as I understand it.)
Have there been any updates on the Film & Stage Beta Site, since 1-25-2011? -
hi Jim,
where do you get the beta version?
I'm still using one that's years old

Here's the blog post. I guess it is now called Advanced Camera Tools, rather than Film and Stage (and works on the Pro version only.)
The download page says the Advanced Camera Tools was release in Mar ,2011.
The doumentation is on Google Docs.

The original beta version was pubically released back in 2005 (according to the blog.)

The second beta version (tentatively named "PreVis",) was released 1-25-2011, only to "official" Sketchup Beta testers, via Google's Beta website, and is subject to restrictions per the Beta testing Non-Disclosure Agreement.
So, it now looks like Google has 'officially' released the plugin as Advanced Camera Tools version 1.0.0 (for Pro ONLY use.)

I don't find a specific forum for discussing Advanced Camera Tools (here or at Googlegroups.)
If SCF had a forum, where would it be put ?
.. under Extensions & Applications Discussions
or under SketchUp Discussions
