My architecture & design portfolio
-
Hi,
I finally took the time to assembly some of my more recent work with SketchUp into a cohesive portfolio, so I thought I'd share it.
I'm new to this forum but have been using SketchUp for more than a few years now.Anyway, I look forward to your comments, constructive criticism and suggestions. and also look forward to checking out other work on this site.

very impressive... nice modeling. I like your use of layout and the models coming out of paper.

The images and layout look great. Nice work! There is a typo on the Howard Street office building page.

Thanks for the input and taking time to look. I fixed the typo.
A bit about my process. I don't use Layout, all these sheets were formatted in Photoshop after exporting JPG files from SketchUp. Also, I don't typically use SketchUp for presentation or marketing graphics. I use it primarily as a schematic design and design development tool and often export DWG files back to AutoCad for further development into the production of construction drawings. The images I posted were an outgrowth of this process, thus the simple, basic SketchUp rendering techniques you see.
Having said that, I am interested in exploring some of the photo-realistic / ray-tracing options for SketchUp. My next effort will be to find out which of the options out there are best for my type of work. Any suggestions based on what you saw in my portfolio are welcome.
