Megjelent a SketchUp 8 legújabb, amolyan "maintenance" (javítás) változata. A teljes lista a változásokról itt található (angolul).
Talán a leglényegesebb változások/javítások (szerintem):
- a "shadow bug"-ot (mikor az árnyékban lévő kamera esetén villózott az árnyék) végre megszüntették. Ez az 5. verzió óta gyötörte a felhasználókat.
- 4 Gb memória használata (64 bites op.rendszeren)
- nagyobb méretű kép export (Windowson - a Mac-en eddig is lehetett)
- codec-eket immár lehet normálisan választani az animáció-exportban (ez a 7. verzió óta hibás volt)
- unicode kraktereket (magyar Ő és Ű) a LayOut dxf/dwg exportja támogatja
