    Hi,

I am using SketchyPhysics 3.1 with Sketchup 8 on XP.

I am doing the simplest test. I make a floor. I then make a door, add a hinge to it, and connect the two using the joint connection tool. When I run the simulation, pushing on the door rotates it as I expected. Of course, I wasted a few hours before I learned that you need to use the left control key, but I digress.

If I now make a group of the hinge and the door and run the simulation, the first thing that happens is the door just falls over without even touching it. Further, when I try pushing on the door, it just wobbles and flies around. The hinge no longer does anything.

Can someone explain what is going on and how to fix it?

Try connecting the floor with the grouped hinge.

Connect it how? Add another hinge between the door and the floor? I'm new to SketchyPhyics, and the lack of quality documentation is slowing me down in learning this plugin.

Use JointConnectTool, same that you used before.
Click on the floor and press "CTRL" (Control)[Left], then press the hinge.
Or you can start with the hinge (Ctrl-click) and then the floor, dosn't matter.
