are you still using vray for renders?

i know you're busy but if you ever have time to make any tutorials i'm sure a lot of us would appreciate it!

Thanks for your comments, Michalis, Jarynzlesa, Oliver, Liam, Roberto, and Jhuman.

@ davesec: yes, I am using Vray. Tutorials?...honestly, I am a beginner at Vray. I am just using simple lights and changing their colors and intensity. It's a trial and error by making tons of renders till i get the result i want. It's quite time consuming.

If you want to learn Vray, I would suggest to visit the Vray forum:

awesome work dude, love your works. Hi 5
I love the whole process. Do you build these sets for games,or game development,cg painting over models, or is this just for the kick of things. Anyways, great work, keep it up, would love to see bigger scenes you have developed made from su.

                        Hi everyone,

@ alvis: thanks for your comments.

@ Jacques/silver shadow: Coming from you, it's quite a compliment. I am glad you like my work. You too have some really nice models and great renders (Titanic, helicopter, architecture stuff).
These are personal projects, but they are similar to the things I do at work that are for the game/movie industries. The older sketchup projects were done for the MMO game Gods and Heroes back in 2006/2007.
I wish I can post some of my current projects from my current company http://www.trionworlds.com/en/someday.

@ dolphus: Thank you, Sir. Welcome back to the gallery forum.

@ pilou: bonjour et merci pour le link de Versailles. It is quite a fantastic piece of architecture. I have been there a long time ago. So much memory. Thanks for sharing.

Ok, so here are the latest renders from last week. I added some more details, fixed the ceiling, replaces the sculptures with statues.

I have to stop working on both the interior temple and this interior hallway for the next few weeks as I have started a new model for the EVE Online -Create a Starship contest (http://news.deviantart.com/article/128272/. Thanks Liam for letting me know. More sleepless nights ahead but it will be worth it. The prizes are so sweet.

LOL, thanks for your comment, Roberto. I don't know if I can call myself a master. You do have some cool stuff too and there are a bunch of sketchup users in this forums who have terrific Sketchup modeling skills and could therefore be Masters of Sketchup. I think everyone can model the way I do. It's just a matter of patience and practice, practice and practice.

I will keep on working on the fantasy architecture after I finish the EVE contest that is due in 3 weeks. http://news.deviantart.com/article/128272/

Exported, but how? And a clean geometry! You don't use a continuous push-pull, you prefer groups. This is good. Clean subdivisions, how?

Thank you, Michalis. I am not so sure about what you are asking. What I did was exporting my model as Obj from Sketchup and importing it into Maya.

Ok, since I am done with the Starship, I have started a few new things.

This is an older personal project called "A New World". I built the flying ship in Sketchup. The environment is all done in Vue. Postwork in Photoshop as usual.
