The following is a portion of a interior case designed in Cad, visualized in SU, rendered (top), then built (bottom). We are 99%, missing light sconce, recessed reflectors and trim. This is sixth and final design, presented to the client. Without the visualization and render, he may have had difficulty approving the expense.

I imagine the future will be with some form of holographic projection based on 3d modeling.

This was exactly the question I was asking myselfa few days ago. 3D Television is no problem anymore.

Is there any plugin to get an 3D Output of the renders? This would be surely convincing for the customer to see his own future interior in a 3D modell...

Thanks Todd, I love my work. Its especially fun to build stuff the way you envision it. While I do traditional illustration fairly well, from the client's view, there is nothing like a photo realistic render to present a design. I imagine the future will be with some form of holographic projection based on 3d modeling.

That can't be too hard to do. Producing a pair of animations from the position of each eye, then using them in a presentation with current technology can't be too difficult. Costly perhaps, but not difficult. Currently, I prefer the above by Zebra.

We have a Stereo.rb script on Smustard. Perhaps that will help you out.

Todd, Good first step. Wounder what it would take to get it up on a display monitor?

wow. that sounds great. Now I just have to renew my hardware. But I'm shure that this will be my future work with my next generation of PCs
