LEGO BOOM
-
With David Beckham endorsing lego last week and making it socially acceptable for adults to play I thought I would have a little go.
Managed to import about two thirds of the pieces from an Ldraw library and made the rest in SU. Took forever to get them all together was a nightmare pretty much lol!SU>PODIUM>PHOTOSHOP......ENJOY
This was basically a trial run for a bigger portfolio image I have lined up, now I know its possible to get the result I want the final image will begin soon and that model will be HUGE!

Yeah I had lots of lego as a kid still a huge crate of it in the loft. It as hard work to put it together but I thought the end result (the exploded view) was fantastic! It came out much better than I had pictured in my head. This small go kart project was only a prelude to the larger one I am currently attempting. Sort of a trial run to see how it could be achieved.
The presentation style was the trick I use for illustrating my SU models, http://liam887.wordpress.com/tutorials/ however there is also a podium render blended it to give the reflections of the pieces on the semi reflective surface.
