    Hi Guys,

I wanted to post a couple of renders that I have done of the World Cup Stadiums in South Africa in Shaderlight for SketchUp.

Please let me know what you think (in the future going to render them at smaller resolutions).

    Martin

      I think they look excellent.

I think the textures need weathering though as many of the surfaces look too clean.

Thanks, I will try to weather the textures a bit. Want to add a bit more geometry to some of the walls as I think some of them look a bit flat. Don't think it would need much.

            Hi Oli,

Thanks for the comments. I really enjoy working with Shaderlight, with the Image Based Lighting and interactive updates it does make it easy to get good looking exterior renders. It is fully integrated in to SketchUp so it is easy if you do make any changes, Shaderlight updates automatically.

With regards to the images I know what you mean about gallery images, but these were created pretty quickly and easily, and they honestly have had no Photoshop 'adjustment'.

Give it a try, you can download it for free.

            Martin

I tried Shaderlight as well, but it's still very much in beta... the MELT function that they use for max is not yet integrated in the sketchup version and neither are pointlights and such. not that I don't appreciate IBL, but I don't have that many hdri's to choose from...

Cool renders, esp when world cup is ard.
Guess the IBL makes it looks much like Hypershot.
But a couple of interiors looks great.
Anyway will try it out sometime. ๐Ÿ˜„
