      Hi Guys,

I stumbled across Archipelis Designer today and think it should be very useful to SketchUp modelers that need to produce textured organic shapes from just one picture, animals etc.

I must say the the site is very well put together and has great step by step tutorials. While the application is not free it is very reasonably priced at €38. There is a limited demo available. It not time constrained but does not allow big models or export.

      Check it out here, http://www.archipelis.com/?gclid=CLvH0seo1KECFQs-lAodbHWEJg

      Mike

been watching this for a couple of years now. the interface just sucks! makes no sense (to me) at all. i did email them a long time ago when .skp files where first supported at told them i would be interested, but only if i could use the output .skp files in the demo to see how they look in SU (uv mapping, file size...). at least once. no response that i can remember.

I see your point Rocky. Leaving the GUI aside, I will try and contact them and see if I can get my hands on a NFR copy so we can see what the end results look like in SU.
