Render in Artlantis
-
Hi everyone
yesterday I decided I wanted to rearrange my furniture in my 20mΒ² student room. Ofcourse, before I did so, I had to find out the right configuration in SU. And when I'd done that, I thought I'd make a render of it in Artlantis (really I prefer Vray, but I'm having some trouble with my license...) Anyway. I think it's turned out quite nicely. Added a screen and a color dodge layer in photoshop to finetune the atmosphere.
Of course it's a lot messier in reality

Hi Martha,
sounds familiar. I too never know when it's time to stop
Render looks good, especially like the shadows on the blinds
Couch and chair could do with a little rounding of the edges though, they're pretty sharp now.In case you're not familiar with it already, give this plugin a go. It's pretty great.

Hi,
It's the first realistic interior render that I have seen with Artlantis...
Looks like a photography, congrats... -
It's good and shows the potential of the later Artlantis versions. Maybe a little "overexposed" (or is it my monitor?). As an Artlantis user since the last century, I still have to struggle to get rid of the "Artlantis look"-otherwise I like the program.

@ Anssi:
No I 'overexposed' on purpose. did that in Photoshop - it's hardly possible in Artlantis, since it adjusts exposure automatically. But I wanted the feel of a very sunny day, so I sort of exaggerated that.
@ flipya:
As for the round corners... yes I know the plugin. I sort of used it on the chair, but it resulted in self-intersecting surfaces if the radius was set too high... I concluded I should look for a better model but didn't want to spend the time searching, or I should buy the subdivide&smooth-plugin, but didn't have the money... Anyway, you're right ofcourse... -

Hmmm yeah that's not really desirable...
I keep a small but always expanding 'best of the warehouse' folder on my external drive. Partly because I sometimes work in areas that have no internet, but also because I can save it with keywords that make sense to me. Eliminates the whole 'no time to search' problem
If you want, I can upload it and PM you a link. Just let me know if you're interested. -
oh yes, absolutely!

Sent you a PM!
EDIT: Sorry, just realised that wasn't very nice to any others looking for furniture. Some or most of you may already have these models though. Download here, as long as it's up.
