Roof Tile Test

Here is a 4 1/2 minute laptop render with blender. Im testing different roof
tiles. I need another, I dont like this one.

nowadays I see more and more blender renders, and they seems to be nice. I've been always scsred from Blender , what do you suggest? how about modeling speed and also rendering?

Majid,

Blender, As a renderer does its job. Blender as a modeler, I think
its very hard and i rather use SketchUp for modeling.
The grass in the render is the only model that is Blenders and it does
an excellent job in making grass.

Here the building is rotated to a 45 degree and walls bumped up.

thanx for reply, as a lazy modeler, I still prefer sketchup (also it is fit to my architectural jobs), but always trees and foliage are scaring me, btw my choiise is SU+TWr

I change the material to plastic for the tiles.

Some changes. I changed the first tile on the ridge and made it bull nose.
