What looks very unusual and funny, is that I can't see many 2.5 trees around - am I wrong?

Matteo, thank you very much...even if you are just setting me up: of the 4 trees in the new comp only the one is 3D (the SU birch in the foreground with the leaves scaled much smaller), the old comp is all tomsdesk 2.5d trees and shrubs.

And, no...I don't plan on melting anything

yep! I intended that there are not so many 2.5 trees, if we compare this with other images of you - the landscape is usually more populated by trees.
