In Need of a Plugin

I am in need of a plugin that will allow me to select the endpoint of one line segment and the endpoint of another line segment and combine the Y and Z coordinates of the first endpoint with the X coordinate of the second endpoint, creating a third point.
For example: Point A lies at 2,2,2. Point B lies at 3,3,3. I would like a plugin that will take those two points and create a Point C at 3,2,2.
A member of #ruby-lang said that such a plugin would only be a few lines.
Does anyone know where I might find such a plugin? I have searched and searched but have found nothing. If there is none available could someone please write a plugin for me? It would be greatly appreciated.
