Every time I see this thread's title, I remember this dialogue from Yellow Submarine:

      • Where are we?
      • I don't know, it looks like the foothills.
      • The foothills of what?
      • The foothills of the headlands.

Some more detail, no texturing yet just geometry:

And a sketchy accident that looked pretty cool:

Looks great Oli, what renderer did you use? and what setting as that looks biased.

Are there any render tutorials on twilight? I've seen a lot of great renders done with twilight (including this one πŸ˜„ )

                          twilight for this particular one.

I used exterior progressive to flint template. spherical sky and sunlight enabled πŸ˜„ (although I added sky back in PP cos it was a bit distorted)

(previous renders were podium biased for speed)

In my knowledge no, but if you render alpha mask with 2-3x greater resolution and scale it down in photoshop, you will get AA + Supersampling.

                                  yeah......the manual lol πŸ˜‰

this was very easy to setup, like 5 mins to setup the render (lots more time to model) and 15 hours to render it, although I could have stopped it a lot sooner.

                                          Hey Oli,

Thanks for all the great images. You mentioned you use a technique called "sub-smooth". Can you fill me in on what that is exactly or point me in the direction of a forum that can help me learn. Thanks so much.
