Your pulling our collective leg, right? This is a photograph, not a rendering.

        Made with Blender or Zbrush?

Go there and download apple.skp. Should be fun to see some other renders here.

Yes pete, SU or even zbrush can't do such a quality UV mapping. Made in blender using 3 projection and remapping them in a 4th UV map. Blender just rocks there. Walls and table made in SU lol. Rendered using podium.

These are incredible - especially the waxy shine. I have some apples sitting next to me on a tray. I can compare them to yours and yours are perfect. So Blender is worth learning?

Cool! So even us Windows people can play with your apple model? 👍

Wires? You mean wireframe? I don't have to see all apples at the same time; I have all except one hidden inside components, so Twilight will render them. Same trick I used with the thousands of high-poly trees. This is my viewport view. The Apple logo is in a layer visible in SketchUp but turned off in Twilight.

Anyway, here's a close-up of the red apple.

Hi, I more-or-less explained the process here:

I've just updated my apples render. There was an issue about reflections, I'm using blurry now. More natural.

Thanks. BTW Miguel now you're ready to buy a mac. Not like pete's iPOD, a big one. Size is not a problem anyway. 🤣

Hey brodie, nice render. But IMO apples are not so reflective. I had the same difficulties. Maybe some blurred reflections? Is maxwell fast?
Teofas thanks, you could use my apples in your glorious renders. Or you prefer green ones?
