Some Artlantis works

Except the vertical elements in the water (supposed to be fountains?) and the figures - they look stiff and unnatural, especially the figure on the couch.
thx,there're plants in the water.

great work, have I seen this building on podium forum too?
yes,it's the same model by my friend.i took it to study render.

I must say that I very often like the Artlantis output when it is done right.
These images are very nice.
Unfortunately I find Artlantis, although very powerful, a real b*tch to work with.
It works completely different than all the other render engines, with its own tricks of the trade, so I gave up on it quite some time ago. -
It certainly was a pain in the neck for scene setup, but hey, it could change materials and lights in real time! Let's say it was like having "multilight" before anyone else even thought about it.
For reference, the last version I used was Artlantis 4.5, which came out around 2001. It was kinda fast in a Pentium 4. Actually, all other render programs, except LightUp, seem slow when compared to that old version of Artlantis.

I love the concept, but I think the girl on the couch looks unnatural because she is on the edge of her seat watching motor racing

Water looks much better than pedium render version. Female figure is somehow unnatural.
Update: well she is blonde. -

Oh thats funny!! Man I need a chick like that, we get the F1 here at rediculous hours of the night and just how much nagging does a man have to take if he wants to stay up to watch it!
A hot blonde that keen - she's god! Though as Mich hints at, she's probably just in a trance watching moving pictures.
BTW these are really quite nice images to be coming from Artlantis, for me it's a bit blonde itself. SO close to being something useful but so far from being productive!

definitely excellent render.

Artlantis again... at last. Very fine renders! Very good use of the shaders
Oh, and the blonde... well, you should offer her a jacket, I think she's freezing. Why do some of you think Artlantis is not productive? I have my own license for 2 month now. Camera setup und use of (multi)textures are so fast and easy (Artlantis works with my Space Pilot, making camera control plain fun) and the render speed is just mind-blowing. But then, photorealism is not important for my work, might be, Artlantis could drive you insane there.
If the Artlantis stuff would talk to their community at least a bit, I'd recommend it any time... but this beeing a sketchup forum, that's nothing anybody here doesn't know, right?
-
Mate I beta tested artlantis R and studio prior to first release and trust they don't even talk to their testers!
The thing I found most difficult was that a shader tweaked for one view would be way off once you changed camera angle!
I'm not sure if you have tested other render apps but seriously any speed gains in render times are blown way out of the water with the level of tweaking required to get great results. If your happy with - "that'll do" its a great app, but if you want it right I found you could spend so much time on one shader that it just isn't worth the effort.

Those are some really nice renders with Artlantis. I read that version 3 is out and about, so I will have to try it.
Version 2 is a great step forward from version 1.2.
I think I'll post some of my results here, if you like.
As per your images, they look really good, but 3d people give them away. In artlantis, I prefer rendering only the scene, and adding people in PS.

The other day I found a comparison done by some university students between Vray for Sketchup and Artlantis. I can tell you there was no noticeable difference between them. I wasted 6 months of my life in vray, so I would recommend Artlantis anytime.
Call me shallow, but I prefer a good graphic interface, an on the spot light control and live preview with materials, from a spotless render that can take hours of fiddling with small number and senseless parameter handling, to create...
I'm an architect and I want immediate good results for my presentations and the package Sketchup+Artlantis delivers those results just fine.
If only artlantis had a better bump control and displacement...P.S. Great job there! where did you get those 3d people they look great (although the girl IS on the edge of her sit...)
