hey nice render... it's a bit dark though. You have enough sunlight coming in and the lamps are on. Maybe add some curtains and maybe central heathing (it can be cold in England sometimes πŸ˜‰ )

          hi thanks. really? its dark?

it appears very bright on my mac. on pc screens my renders seem quite dark. try increasing your brightness (no joke!)

its underfloor heating. good idea about curtains i always forget to put them in......and it's always cold in England!!

Good work on this one, I remember this from a long time ago, is this possible? Very nice lightning but I'm missing one thing and that's soft shadows, I'm quite a big fan of soft shadows (although I forget them sometimes 😳 ).
I don't really know about the curtains as they might screw the lightning, but meh, I'm not that experienced, so I'm sure you'll
            choose the best.

Btw, on my Mac it appears normal, not too dark nor to light.

            Cheers,
            Johannes ^^

Great image Oliver, it illustrates the space nicely and the brightness is fine on my screen too.
My only crit would be the viewing angle as the sides cave in too much for me. What angle did you use? Increasing it will help get more vertical sides.

Wow u are from Nairobi. JAMBO!! Habari? β˜€

Yeah my FOV is a bit high at 70 degrees! but it fit more in the image. thanks for the advice though, a few ppl have commented on this so it must not look right.

yes this is an 'old' project. The design has changed a bit and this render is better so I thought I'd post an update. Working on all the externals and photo match at the moment.

YES yes yes. the soft shadows were a problem with this scene. Trust me I love soft shadows but the low sun angle and the brise-soleil caused ugly soft shadows, it just didnt work. maybe if i had more time to tweak........ I don't think an image can ever be truly photo-real with sharp shadows like this.

Thank you. I use Podium every day. Its so easy to use and the people in the forum are very helpful! I don't have the time for complex render engines, maybe one day.

I like the entire render alot, but something felt off a little and I finally put my finger on it - the brick in the 2 far right windows are much larger scale than the brick in the background window. Other than that, its perfect!

Nice render. On a scale of 1 to 10 looks like an 8.

Marcus, I believe the brick your seeing on the right is in line with the wall the stairs are on, whereas the other (smaller) brick is at the far end of the room on the other side of that wall.

Beautiful image, Oliver. 'Specially like the slanted shadows juxtaposed with the stair railing.
